In my opinion Budapest is one of the most romantic cities. I mean, how could it not be with the Danube crossing it, the beautiful bridges lit up at night and those cobbled streets that are perfect for hand in hand walks. With Valentine’s day coming, we decided to give you some ideas and listed a few of our favorite spots for some stolen kisses in this magnificent city.
#1János Hill and Libegő
A chairlift that takes you to the beautiful viewpoint of Janos Hill, a must to visit with your other half. From there you can also walk to Normafa, for some Hungarian pastries and mulled wine. The lift is open every day of the week. The station is in Zugliget, at the terminus of bus 291, which leaves from Nyugati Railway Station. For ticket prices click here.

#2 Dinner in the Buda Castle area
If you are looking for a pleasant, romantic dinner, one of the most beautiful areas of Budapest, the Buda Castle District can be an excellent choice. After a walk in the area, you can choose from many great restaurants, like Riso, Jamie Olivers and Pierrot.
#3 Boat tour on the Danube
I can hardly imagine a more romantic date than a boat cruise with the scenery view of Budapest. There are plenty of options to choose, from cocktail to dinner cruises, the romantic vibe is a given.

+1 Gül Baba
The turbe of Gül Baba is a Turkish tomb chapel built in the 16th century on Rózsadomb in Budapest, near the Buda end of the Margaret Bridge. The Turb and the Rose Garden were considered not only as a place of pilgrimage for the Turks and the Islamic people in Budapest, but also as a popular excursion and panoramic destination.
It became a sure point for those looking for an intimate date in the city.
