Terms and Conditions

  1. Check-In and Check-Out
    • Check-in is between 3 PM and midnight. If you do not arrive between those hours, please contact us ahead of time.
    • Check-out time is 11 AM. By that time, please empty the locker and leave the bed or private room. We can store your luggage longer if needed.
    • Late check-out is possible until 1 PM. Please let us know at least 1 day prior to your departure if you would like this option.
  2. Cancellation & No-Show Policy
    • No-show: If you do not show up for your reservation, we will charge the full amount of your booking.
    • Flexible Rate: Cancellations are free if made at least 24 hours before arrival (3 PM). If canceled later, the full amount of the reservation will be charged.
    • Non-refundable Rate: Once booked, cancellations will incur a charge of the total amount at any time after the reservation is made.
  3. Length of Stay
    • Guests are not permitted to stay for more than 14 consecutive days. Extensions beyond this period are not allowed under any circumstances.
  4. Keys
    • All keys to the rooms shall be delivered to the Hostel’s reception upon leave.
  5. Payment
    • Payment is in cash or card upon arrival in EUR or HUF (Hungarian forints) based on CIB Bank Euro daily buying exchange rate.
  6. Facilities
    • Full kitchen service is available from 8 AM until midnight.
    • Laundry facilities are available between 8 AM and 8 PM.
  7. Cleanliness and Hygiene
    • Please keep the public rooms tidy at all times. Property cleaning costs due to improper usage of the facilities imputable to the guest will be debited in 50-euro amounts. This fee does not exclude the right of Maverick Lodges to vindicate further compensation for the damages caused by the guest.
    • For hygiene reasons, we kindly ask you to use our clean bed linen.
  8. Smoking and Alcohol
    • Smoking is not allowed on the Lodge’s premises and in all common areas (e.g., staircase, elevators, parking garage, etc.). Breaking this rule incurs a fine of 200 Euros.
    • Smoking is only allowed in the official smoking areas.
    • Alcohol consumption is allowed until 11 PM.
  9. Behavior
    • Guests are obligated to maintain the proper conditions and cleanliness of the Lodge.
    • Guests must act in compliance with all applicable legal regulations and general behavior requirements.
    • For the serenity of other guests, please keep a normal talking tone of voice in the building of the Lodge. Violating this rule after 10 PM can lead to a 200 Euro fine. Persistent violation will result in immediate check-out.
    • Please use our lobby area for meeting other guests after 10 PM, especially if you are part of a group.
  10. Prohibited Activities
    • It is not allowed to enter the back courtyard through the hostel. Using the fire exit without an emergency will incur a 200 Euro fine.
    • It is not allowed to bring, store, or prepare any explosive, highly flammable material, or hazardous chemicals in the Lodge. Violators will be fined 200 Euros and held responsible for any damages.
    • Throwing or spilling anything out of the window is strictly prohibited, and violators will bear full responsibility for any damages caused.
    • Blocking emergency exits or placing items on corridors or windowsills is prohibited.
  11. Internet and Wi-Fi
    • Free Wi-Fi is available for guests. Please use it responsibly and avoid activities that violate copyright laws or involve illegal content.
  12. Emergency Contact Information
    • In case of emergency, please contact the reception desk immediately. Staff are available 24/7 to assist you.
  13. Lost and Found
    • Any items found in the Lodge will be kept at reception for a maximum of 30 days. Please inquire at the reception for assistance with lost items.
  14. Quiet Hours
    • Quiet hours are in effect from 10 PM to 8 AM. During this time, please refrain from making noise that could disturb other guests.
  15. Damage Deposit
    • The Lodge reserves the right to charge a damage deposit at check-in. This deposit will be refunded upon check-out, provided no damage or violations occur.
  16. Legal and Safety Compliance
    • Activities contrary to the law, involving hazardous chemicals, or endangering the safety of others are prohibited.
    • Bringing weapons or dangerous animals into the Lodge is forbidden.
    • All technical equipment, particularly elevators, must be used according to the instructions provided.
  17. Liability
    • By making a reservation at the Lodge, you agree to and accept these Terms and Conditions in full. Failure to comply with these terms may result in cancellation of your reservation or other penalties as outlined herein.
    • The Lodge reserves the right to inform relevant authorities in case of illegal activity or actions requiring official intervention.
  18. Supervision and Security
    • The area of the Lodge is supervised by a receptionist at all times.
    • Staff may collect information about people passing the security desk or staying in common areas.
    • Lodge staff are entitled to conduct inspections to ensure compliance with regulations and policies.
  19. Other Policies
    • Guests with valid online reservations made in advance are accepted.
    • Stag/hen or other party-related groups cannot be accommodated.
  20. Group Bookings Terms and Conditions
    • Reservation Confirmation
      • To confirm a reservation, a 50% deposit is required, payable via bank transfer or credit card in advance. Guests are responsible for all bank charges. To issue a deposit invoice, we need the billing details (name, address, and VAT number).
    • Cancellation and Modification Policy
      • Cancellation: Free cancellation and full refund of the deposit are available up to 45 days before arrival. After this point, the deposit is non-refundable.
    • Modifications:
      • Up to 30 days before arrival: Changes can be made up to 20% of the total value of the stay.
      • Up to 14 days before arrival: Changes can be made up to 10% of the total value of the stay.
      • Within 14 days of arrival: No modifications allowed.
        Please note that significant changes in group size may affect the group discount rate. The remaining balance is due 45 days before arrival via bank transfer.
    • Rooming List and Guest Details
      • For group reservations, we require a completed rooming list in an Excel format at least 1 week before arrival. The organizer must include:
      • Last name, first name, sex, nationality, date of birth, ID type, ID number, and ID expiration date.
      • This is mandatory under Hungarian law and ensures a smooth check-in process. Failure to provide this information results in a delay, and the group must choose between:
      • Accepting a 2-3 minute check-in per guest (potentially a 1-2 hour wait for the group).
      • Paying for an additional receptionist at 50 EUR to expedite check-in.
    • Check-In and Check-Out
      • Check-in: From 3:00 PM
      • Check-out: By 11:00 AM
        A free luggage room is available for early arrivals or late departures.
    • Group Deposit
      • A refundable group deposit of 10 EUR per person is required upon arrival, payable in cash by the group leader. The deposit will be returned at check-out if all keycards and towels are returned, and no damages or policy violations (e.g., noise or property damage) have occurred. Without this deposit, check-in may be refused.
    • Catering
      • Late arrivals after 11:00 AM cannot be guaranteed the same quality.
      • Large groups may need to split into two breakfast shifts.
      • Takeaway breakfast must be requested at least 24 hours in advance.
        Significant changes to breakfast arrangements may incur additional costs.
    • Prohibited Events
      • To maintain a welcoming and peaceful environment, bachelor parties are not allowed on our premises. Such events often disrupt other guests and conflict with our hostel’s values.
    • Prohibited Activities and Behaviors
      • Excessive noise or disturbances.
      • Intoxication leading to disruptive behavior.
      • Violations of local laws or our code of conduct.
      • Any actions compromising the safety or comfort of other guests or staff.
    • Consequences
      • Guests hosting or participating in prohibited events may be asked to leave immediately without a refund.
      • Any damages caused will be charged to the responsible guests.
