The Spring Festival is the largest and best-known arts festival that Budapest offers, and this year 2022 it will be celebrated from April 29 to May 15. You’ll LOVE it if you have a thing for classical music, opera, jazz, world music or dance, contemporary circus, theater and the visual arts. A true trademark event for the city, the festival attracts a large art-loving international crowd each year. It also hosts award-winners and famous artists, like Gergely Dubóczky, who you can see perform his STAR HOURS piece with the Budapest Sound Collective.

Over 100 spring events in Budapest

The 42nd Budapest Spring Festival takes place between April 29 - May 15, at venues (private and public places) that are worth checking out even if you’re in town on other dates: to name the most important ones, Müpa Budapest and the Liszt Academy, Budapest Music Center, Opera House, Uránia National Film Theatre, Budapest Jazz Club and Akvárium. So taking part involves a culture tour of the city, in the central district and its surroundings.

In total, around forty venues offer over one hundred events around town.
