, 26-05-2023

The Europa League final takes place on the 31st of May, Wednesday at 9PM (CET). The hosting city in 2023 is Budapest, the match is going to be played in the Puskas Arena. The two finalists are Sevilla (Esp) and Roma (Itl).

Sevilla has reached the final for the 7th time in the club’s history. Interestingly enough, they won all 6 previous instances. In the 2022 – 2023 season they defeated Fenerbahce, Man Utd, and Juventus. Roma has reached the final the 2nd time, but it could be their first ever to win the cup. They overtook Real Sociedad, Feyenoord and Bayer Leverkusen in the previous matches.

The Puskas arena has re-opened its gates in 2019 after a 2-year renovation period. It has a capacity of 67 155 seats and has one of the greatest atmospheres of all European stadiums thanks to the particularly well-designed acoustics of the stadium. The Puskas Arena is located just east of central Budapest at only a kilometer from Budapest Keleti central railway station (or 10 minutes walking). The city’s historic center is about two kilometers further west.

The stadium is easily reached with metro line 2, which runs from the historic center in eastern direction. Take the metro at, for example, Kossuth Lajos, Deak Ferenc, Astoria, or Keleti in the direction of Örs Vezér. Get off at stop Puskas Ferenc Stadion.

Address: Puskas Arena, Budapest, 1146 Hungary
